Yesterday, governor went to Casablanca from Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 8 PM

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan to hold work visit to Casablanca City, Morocco, then to Istanbul, Turkey in order to continue Sister City cooperation.

His visit to Casablanca is to follow up invitation from Casablanca Mayor, Abdeelaziz Omari, to participate in “The Third Edition of Smart Cities African Casablanca 2018”. Particularly, he will be the keynote speaker in “Strategic Master Planning Green Urban Development” session on April 18, 2018. 

Besides, in his visit to Morocco, he is scheduled to attend another event such as meeting with Indonesian community at Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia office (KBRI) in Rabat on April 17, 2018.

Then, he will also give public lecture to International Program students at Hasan II University, Casablanca. His side will give material related to development programs in Jakarta.

In order to develop cooperation at provincial level, Anies and Casablanca-Settat Regional Council will attend for meeting and signing Sister Province cooperation between Jakarta and Casablanca-Settat.

Potential field for cooperation that will be done both sides are related to ports and maritime; tourism and culture; small and medium enterprises; then education and training.

After visiting Casablanca, Anies is scheduled to visit Istanbul, Turkey on April 19, 2018 to follow up invitation from Istanbul Mayor, Mevlut Uysal.

In order to strengthen Sister City cooperation, both sides will have a meeting on April 20, 2018 to discuss cooperation regarding clean water and wastewater management, social facility management, and tourism promotion.

On the same day, Anies will be invited to review Istanbul Water and Sawerage Administration (iSKi). Then, he will meet with local authorities who manage to handle social facilities, cooperation and small medium enterprises.

After that, he is scheduled to meet with Indonesian students at Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Istanbul.

Next, his side will attend on meeting with Grand Bazaar Istanbul management on April 21, 2018. Its purpose is to share information and experience regarding UKM and integrated tourism area management.

Jakarta KDH and KLN Bureau Head, Muhamad Mawardi said, this work visit will be also attended by Jakarta Communication Informatics and Statistic Dept. Head, Dian Ekowati.

"Yesterday, governor went to Casablanca from Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 8 PM," he stated, Tuesday (4/17).

After conducting work visit, he continued, Anies is scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on April 23, 2018.

"According to flight schedule, he will arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 6 PM on April 23, 2018," he informed.
