City-FK UI Reviews Cooperation in Health Sector

Jakarta Provincial Government and Universitas Indonesia's Faculty of Medicine (FK UI) review cooperation in health sector. This cooperation is planned to focus on air pollution impact towards mother and infant health.

I really appreciate it

FK UI side will give assistance in form of data requirements, research publications, inclusive level enhancement, including the potential for international research in the future to improve Jakartan's health.

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno conveyed, he welcomes this cooperation plan. Hopefully health level of Jakartans could be improved.

"I really appreciate it. Later Jakarta Health Dept. can help and detail it since we have many similar activities," he added after receiving visit from FK UI at City Hall, Thursday (5/3).

In that chance, he also offers FK UI to collaborate with Jakarta Smart City regarding data fulfilling and plan in implementing application-based research.

"We have developer in there. Health Dept. also has application that can support it," he added.

Meanwhile FK UI Dean, Ari Fahrial Syam added, this research is important to assess air pollution impact towards pregnant women. In these two years, FK UI takes measurements on air pollution level in house and neighborhood of pregnant mother and new born baby until six month old.

"We have a team to measure air pollution by cooperating with Utrecht University," he stated.
