Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan celebrates his 49th birthday with gratitude while remembering struggle that his mother, Aliyah Rasyid, faced.
"Whenever I celebrate my birthday, I always want to celebrate it with my mom," he expressed, City Hall, Monday (5/7).
Anies Receives Top BUMD Coach 2018 AwardHe is grateful that he is still given health to do his job, especially as Jakarta Governor.
"Alhamdulillah (thank God), this journey is full of blessings. I hope to be given a good health thus I can do my job well and become useful to communities," he stated.
He added, there is no special celebration. "There is no special custom actually, but when my mother in Jogjakarta, she usually shares foods to orphans and we try to continue this habit in Jakarta," he conveyed.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno expressed his wishes and prayers for Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan who celebrates his 49th birthday on May 7, 2018.
He hopes Anies could have full support from Jakarta Provincial Government apparatuses and residents in leading Jakarta.
"I hope Mr. Anies becomes healthier, have good fortune, get amanah (trustworthy) and istiqomah," he added.
