Starting Friday (5/18), East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. dredges Makoopsau I Reservoir in Halim Perdana Kusuma, Makasar. Five heavy equipments owned by Jakarta SDA Dept.'s Alkal Unit are used for this dredging.

East Jakarta SDA Sub-dept.'s Maintenance Section Head, Yoserizal said, dredging is done by request from TNI AU. It is reported this reservoir with around 10,750 square meters wide is silting.

According to him, it has around one meter depth. His side plans to dredge it until 2.5-3 meters depth. There are four amphibian long arm excavators and one standard excavator used to dredge it.
