C. Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. Focuses on Normalizing PHB Channels

This year, Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. focuses on normalizing connecting (PHB) channels. Based on data, there are 38 PHB channels in Central Jakarta.

Six main channels have been normalized

"Six main channels have been normalized. Now the remaining PHB channels and environment normalization depending on residents requests or complaints," said Dicky Suherlan, Head of Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept., Saturday (5/19).

According to him, his side also repairs damaged channel or retaining wall and conducts mud dredging in order to increase channel's capacity.

"Normalization on several PHB channels have been completed, but the remaining is still on progress which is located in eight sub-districts of Central Jakarta," he explained.

PHB channels which are still on progress of normalization are Kartini PHB in Sawah Besar, Kalibaru PHB in Kemayoran, Tanah Tinggi PHB, Industri Kemayoran PHB, and Rawa Kerbau PHB in Cempaka Putih.
