Streetlight for Transjakarta Ciledug-Tendean's Flyover Installed

The drivers of Transjakarta bus plying Corridor 13 (Ciledug-Tendean) can already be felt safe and comfortable driving at night. It is because South Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. started to install streetlight on the Transjakarta bus flyover.

Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. Head, Yuli Hartono expressed streetlight procurement along the flyover of Ciledug-Tendean had failed the auction last year. South Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. then held a re-auction this year.

"We already have the auction winner for the installation of streetlight on the Ciledug-Tendean flyover this year and the lights have started to be installed," he expressed, Monday (6/4).

He explained its installation has been ongoing since May 25. Totally there are 341 lamps installed along the flyover. The lamp itself has more than nine kilometers length.

"Up to now, 150 spots have been installed. We install lamps type armature with 200 watts power with LED smart system," he stated.

In the meantime, South Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. Head, Suryanto added, those streetlights consist of 330 lamps at corridor and 11 lamps on ramp on the side of Ciledug or Tendean. Fund for streetlight installation has spent Rp 8.78 billion. 

"Besides on the corridor, it is also installed under corridor for lighting on the existing road," he told.

By so, Transjakarta bus operational at Corridor 13 will be safer, especially at night. It is because the driver previously only relied on the lighting of the buildings around the lane.

"In future, its operational will be safer and can operate much longer," he uttered.
