Indonesian hospital is very helpful to the medical needs of our brothers in Palestine

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno, held a meeting with the medical emergency rescue committee (MER-C) and one of the online shops at City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

In the meeting, they also launched a shirt sale called "RED SANDI" and the result will be donated to the Indonesia Hospital in Gaza, Palestine.

He hoped, this real social and humanitarian action could get much support from Jakartans. Therefore, the people can participate in developing health services in Indonesia Hospital.

"Indonesian hospital is very helpful to the medical needs of our brothers in Palestine. I want the people to play an active role for humanity, especially from the upper-middle class," he expressed, Monday (6/4).

According to him, MER-C has contributed to the name of the Indonesian in various parts of the world through the humanitarian mission undertaken.

"Now there are many requests for aid in Central Asia. It brings the name of the Indonesian people more proud," he explained.

In the meantime, MER-C Presidium Chairperson, Henry Hidayatullah added, this idea of donation arises because there is a very urgent demand for health services in Palestine.

"Indonesia Hospital in Gaza has been operated since by the end of 2015. The high demand makes us initiate to increase the building into four floors from the current two floors," he stated. 

As for the information, MER-C is a humanitarian social organization engaged in emergency medical emergencies, and has the character of trust, professional, neutral, independent, voluntary, and high mobility.

It is aimed to provide medical services for victims of war, violence due to conflict, unrest, extraordinary events, and natural disasters, either at home or abroad. Since it is built in August 1999-until now, MER-C volunteers have done more than 300 humanitarian missions.
