Sandi Monitors Process of Extinguishing Fires in Annex Building

Electrical equipment must be re-checked before returning home. I ask every building to have a good security standard

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno accompanied by Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede, directly monitored the process of extinguishing fires in the Annex Building, Jalan MH Thamrin, Gondangdia Urban Village, Menteng Sub-district.

According to Sandi, he was deeply concerned over the occurrence of this fire accident. He also reminded that building managers and employees to increase awareness of potential fire.

320 Fire Cases Occurred in Jakarta Along January-March

"Electrical equipment must be re-checked before returning home. I ask every building to have a good security standard," he expressed, Tuesday (6/5) night.

In the meantime, Jakarta Fire and Rescue Dept. Head, Subejo expressed that fire was occurred at around 7.28 PM. The fire hit the 10th floor of the building.

"We sent 20 fire trucks and 100 firefighters to the scene," he told.

Until 9 PM, they managed to control the flames. But his party was still conducting sweeping to ensure there were no casualties in this fire.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), no casualties here. For the cause of the fire and material loss is still being investigated," he said.
