Jakarta Gov. Leads City's Anniversary Ceremony

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan leads the 491st city's anniversary ceremony at the IRTI parking lot in the National Monument (Monas), Gambir, Central Jakarta.

It is attended by Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi; Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno; Jakarta TP PKK Chairperson, Fery Farhati; Jakata BKOW Chairperson, Nur Asia Uno;, and Jakarta ASN.

On that occasion, Anies disclosed challenge ahead is to bring justice, happiness, and progress to Jakartans. It is in accordance with the theme of Jakarta's 491st city's anniversary, "Fair, Forward and Happy".

Various Events to Enliven City Anniversary Declaration

"Inequality can be solved, also poverty. InsyaAllah (God willing), we can be an example as a city whose citizens work and create prosperity for all," he expressed, Friday (6/22).

He furthered the entire city apparatus can further increase its commitment in working. Thus, they can provide an opportunity for all to work, get a job, and provide opportunities for more prosperity.

Jakarta has so many actors playing a role. In the age of 491st, there are millions of people who have worked in Jakarta.

"To those who have worked for Jakarta, let us pray for your gratitude and appreciation. There are cultural, artists, intellectuals, businessmen, bureaucrats, armies, police, and many more who have contributed to Jakarta," he exclaimed.

In the meantime, Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno added, Anies and himself are committed to addressing various crucial issues in Jakarta such as poverty, unemployment and social inequality.

"Jakarta's economy is beginning to show results. InsyaAllah, it will increase the competitiveness of Jakarta to realize the progress of the city and the happiness of its citizens," he said.
