Jakarta TP PKK Leader Welcomes Timor-Leste's First Lady Visit

Hopefully our activities in here can make them inspired to do the same thing in Timor-Leste

Jakarta TP PKK Leader, Fery Farhati welcomes visit from the first lady of Timor-Leste, Cidalia Mozinho Lu Olo at Kalijodo RPTRA, North Jakarta.

This visit is done to see Kampung Keluarga Berencana implementation which is scheduled during her state visit in Indonesia on June 27-29, 2018.

"We are grateful to visit the first lady of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. Hopefully our activities in here can make them inspired to do the same thing in Timor-Leste," she conveyed, Thursday (6/28).

Previously, the first lady of Timor-Leste thought family planning (KB) program is only a way to create a small family.

But from this visit, Jakarta Provincial Government shows RPTRA and green spaces (RTH) roles as the part of Kampung KB program.

"She said that previously she taught KB is only a way to create small family. But now she understand that KB is more than that. KB makes family becomes healthier, more educated, and active," she informed.

She also explained to her that Kampung MB is a village unit that have integrated population program, family planning, family development, and other related sectors.

"Kampung KB purpose is to improve families and residents quality," she added.

She also mentioned, Kalijodo RPTRA facilitates residents to interact from different ages through various activities.

"Our hope is to create positive interaction from all sides that can give positive impacts for communities' social life around Kalijodo RPTRA," she stated.

The first lady of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Cidalia Mozinho Lu Olo admitted that she is impressed with Kalijodo RPTRA.

"Kalijodo RPTRA has a lot of benefits that have been received by residents," she conveyed.
