City-Blitar Agrees to Cooperate on Provision of Food Supplies

Jakarta Provincial Government and Blitar District Government, East Java, agreed on cooperation to provide food supplies.

The signing of the joint agreement was directly conducted by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and Blitar Regent, Rijanto, City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta.
By so, the city would get supply of food commodity fulfillment from Blitar. Thus, the stock and stability of food prices in Jakarta are hoped to be maintained.
City Ensures Available Basic Food Supplies"We need certainty of supply thus citizens get basic needs without any obstacles," he stated, Monday (7/9).
While, Blitar Regent, Rijanto uttered the region he leads is a potential agricultural and livestock area. Therefore, he felt very grateful with the realization of cooperation with the city that can be mutually beneficial to both parties.
"In one day we can produce 450 tons of eggs and cow's milk up to 120 tons per day. It is a tremendous potential to bring prosperity to the people," he stated.
