City Gives Food Supplies to Demolition Victims

To ease the burden of residents whose houses demolished for Mookevart River inspection road construction project at RW 02, Rawabuaya Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-District, West Jakarta, Jakarta Provincial Government donated food supplies and school equipment to them.

The donation consists of 1 ton of rice, 100 boxes of instant noodles, 25 boxes of ketchup, 5 boxes of cooking oil, and 1,000 cans of sardines, as well as school uniforms, bags, and shoes. All of these were handed out directly by City Secretary Saefullah.
“The government does not stand still seeing its citizens having trouble. It is our obligation to give donation,” stated Saefullah, Tuesday (9/23).
Daan Mogot Flat Construction AcceleratedAccording to Saefullah, the demolition victims do not need to worry because Jakarta Provincial Government will give more if the donation was not enough. While about their place to live, 21 households are going to be relocated to Semanan Flat, Daan Mogot, on upcoming October 10.
“The rests are waiting for verification result from West Jakarta Administration that will arrange it. Meaning, based on our commitment, the residents with Jakarta ID Cards (KTP) will be accommodated to live in flats. That’s why the government builds many flats,” he uttered.
Hj Jamilah (55), one of the demolition victims, admitted very grateful with the donation given. She also hopes for the residents’ wish to get flat units could be realized soon.
“These food supplies and school equipment really help us who are in trouble right now. I and the residents thanked so much for the donation,” she expressed.
