Jakarta Provincial Government is about to crack down on buildings in Sudirman-Thamrin area that still violate the use of groundwater, absorption wells and wastewater treatment plants.

As a result, 76 out of 77 buildings are guilty. They ignored the Gubernatorial Regulation No. 20/2013 on absorption wells. In details, 37 out of them have no absorption wells and 39 other buildings have yet to meet the required absorption well capacity.
There are 69 out of 76 building owners who have consulted the action plan of building improvement related to the use of groundwater, supply of absorption wells and wastewater management.
Of 69 buildings, 41 out of them already have repair planning. While 24 other buildings are still under planning stage. "Especially for 4 buildings already have the repair plan," he told.
Despite it meets requirements, he added, 69 buildings are still under supervision.
"It's hoped to be a good reference from the government and the public in monitoring the owners of skyscrapers," he stated.
