Anies Wants KPID to Ensure Airing Educational Broadcast Programs

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan wants Jakarta Information Broadcasting Commission (KPID) ensures television and radio broadcast program to contain educational material.

We must be aware that aired programs can give a big impact for the next generation

He said, KPID has a strategic role and important task to monitor it. Thus no broadcast program from television and radio that can give negative impact for public.

Jakarta KPID Wants Private TV Stations to Be Consistent in Broadcasting Local Content

"As we know, broadcasting is one of main medias that we use to get information and education. We must be aware that aired programs can give a big impact for the next generation," he conveyed when attending Halal Bihalal together with broadcasters initiated by Jakarta KPID at City Hall, Wednesday (7/11).

According to him, broadcasters are required to commit in providing broadcast media program as a media that can educate, entertain, and not destructive. Moreover, it should not broadcast hoax news.

"I expect a lot on KPID to ensure providing qualified broadcast programs that can educate our next generation," he affirmed.

He also appreciates Jakarta KPID performance by ensuring good quality broadcast programs aired.

"Thank you for KPID hard work. I also appreciate all broadcasters who attended in this Halal Bihalal event," he said.
