Fire Engulfs Employee Housing in Penggilingan

Fire razed a dorm-style housing belongs to the employees of the Rimba Jati Wood Factory located on Jalan Komarudin, RT 05/03, Penggilingan, Cakung, East Jakarta.

Gatot Sulaeman, Division Head of Fire and Rescue under East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. said that fire was allegedly triggered by electricity short-circuits. 

"In the field, the fire had destroyed the kitchen and the dorm," he stated, Monday (7/16).

320 Fire Cases Occurred in Jakarta Along January-March

At that time, around 10 fire trucks were dispatched to the scene and managed to the flames within 40 minutes. For further investigation, the police line was installed in the building in the size of 7x12 square meters belongs to Aas (58). 

So far the case has been handed over to the Cakung Sector Police.
