"We will launch PT. MRT Jakarta's mascot on August 15," stated William Sabandar, Director of PT. MRT Jakarta, Thursday (7/26).
He mentioned, the mascot will be named Marti in form of a 9-years old boy.
DPRD Appreciates PT MRT PerformanceThe mascot that was born on June 17, 2008 is described as a small child who has a great curiosity, but always cautious and makes people around him to feel safe and comfortable.
"Marti represented the same shape and character as the MRT train," he added.
He explained, this mascot describes MRT character that want to make people who choose MRT Jakarta train as their transportation to feel safe and comfortable.
MRT mascot's basic shape is the front view of rolling stock, with a comical style and has a solid body texture.
Marti is illustrated to wear a helm since it is still on construction progress.
"When all the construction is done, we will change its helm design," he said.
