Dishub Personnel Standby in Jl. MH Thamrin's Pelican Crossing 24 Hours

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) deploys personnel to standby for 24 hours in pelican crossing, Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI), Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

Jakarta Dishub Dept., Andri Yansyah said, there are at least six personnel who are standby in each road sides of pelican crossing on Jalan MH Thamrin. His side deploys personnel to standby 24 hours with shifting work.

"Currently we are standby for 24 hours," he affirmed, Friday (8/3).

According to him, personnel need to be placed in pelican crossing to help residents who are previously used pedestrian crossing bridge (JPO).

He added, personnel on the field are also needed to control traffic flow.

"They must be aware of two things in this pelican crossing. First is pedestrian safety and second is road users security," he mentioned.
