Sandi Presents Results of Working Visit to Moscow

Hopefully this will be a good experience to be applied in Jakarta

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno presents the results of a working visit to Moscow, Russia in a discussion titled "Putinomics and Relevance in Indonesia".

He expressed that Russia can now provide a very significant evidence of development. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita in Russia is growing well, infrastructure development is running fast, employment is being created, and there is a decrease in living costs.

"This is what we always want to present. Hopefully this will be a good experience to be applied in Jakarta" he expressed, at Jakarta Smart City Lounge, Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (8/8).

There is a big plan to hold the Moscow-Jakarta Economic Summit (KTT) in early 2019.

"The participant is from entrepreneurs and investors. The Indonesian Chambers of Commerce and the Moscow Chambers of Commerce and Industry also signed a cooperation agreement," he explained. 

Hopefully, Indonesia especially Jakarta can become a supplier of various halal products in Russia, as there is a big market share.

He added cooperation between Moscow and Jakarta would not only focus on the economic field, but also in the fields of culture and sports.

"We want to invite athletes from Moscow to do exhibition matches. Including a friendly match between Spartak Moskwa and Persija," he told.

He added that his working visit was also used to study traffic management, such as technology application, regulation, or imposition of sanctions.

"We also convey the application of an even-odd system in Jakarta and get good appreciation from the Moscow City Government," he said.
