Eid ul Fitr, Transjakarta Bus Operates As Usual

Jakarta Transportation Department will remain operate Transjakarta bus as usual, precisely on Monday (7/28) and Tuesday (7/29). Even, Transjakarta fleet will be added on the second day of Eid ul Fitr. Therefore, those of you who want to use the long holiday of Eid ul Fitr in the capital city do not need to worry about the difficulties with public transport services.

"We remain operate Transjakarta bus during Eid ul Fitr to serve Jakartans," expressed Head of Transjakarta Service Unit,  Pargaulan Butar Butar, Sunday (7/27).

He stated all fleets will operate normally. "Transjakarta bus will be operated at 5 AM-10 PM, including public night service at 10 PM-5 AM in three corridors integrated with corridor I (Blok M-Harmoni), III (Kalideres-Harmoni), and IX (Pinang Ranti-Pluit)," he told.

Eid ul Fitr, Public Services Run as Usual

He continued that on second day of Eid ul Fitr, Transjakarta bus will be operated at 9 AM. "Then on third day of Eid ul Fitr and so on, we operate the bus as usual," he expressed.

Pargaulan uttered his party has anticipated passenger surge who want to visit recreational sites in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/29) by deploying tens of fleets.

"We prepare 76 additional buses throughout 12 corridors because of many people to visit recreational sites on the second day of Eid ul Fitr, such as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, and Ragunan Zoo," he revealed.

He explains the amount of Transjakarta bus is reaching 556 units. "Its amount is divided into 2 shifts, 480 units operate in 12 corridors and 76 units as beack-up fleet," he said.

He added that the deployment of dozens of back-up buses intended for residents who want to picnic can switch to using public transport. Thus, the snaking congestion in some recreational sites can be parsed.

"We hope public will be able to better use public transport facilities during Eid ul Fitr," he finished.
