October, Reading Corner at Walang Baru Market Opened

Jakarta Library and Archives Dept. is targeting operate the reading corner in Walang Baru Market, Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village, Koja, North Jakarta in the forthcoming October.

We'll make it as comfortable as possible 

Jeje Nurjaman, Section Head of Deposit, Collection Development, Service and Preservation expressed that the market will also have a PAUD daycare facility.

"We'll make it as comfortable as possible with the priority of the children's book collection, including e-book. So if the mothers are shopping, your child can read books there, be entrusted, play, study, and increase knowledge," he expressed, Wednesday (8/29).

Reading Corner Prepared at Pulomas Equestrian Venue

He explained that it is the result of collaboration between Library and Archives Dept., Education Dept., and PD Pasar Jaya.

"We have injected Rp 40 million here. While for management and human resources are from Education Dept. and PD Pasar Jaya," he told.

PD Pasar Jaya Public Relations Assistant Manager, Amanda Gita Dinanjar added that similar concept was previously also applied at Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta.

"Reading corner will continuously be developed in all markets," he stated.
