Asian Games Venues' Water Supply Fulfilled Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Requirements

According to laboratory examination result, water supply to Wisma Atlet and Asian Games venues has fulfilled water, sanitation, and hygiene requirements

Clean Water Supply Joint Teams under Jakarta PDAM coordination ensures clean water supply to Asian Games venues has fulfilled water, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.

Asian Games Clean Water Supply Joint Teams Leader, Elly Darmawati said, this statement is conveyed after her side has routinely checked water quality, including drinking fountain in venues before and during Asian Games event.

"According to laboratory examination result, water supply to Wisma Atlet and Asian Games venues has fulfilled water, sanitation, and hygiene requirements," she informed, Thursday (8/30).

She explained, this examination is done in accordance to Health Minister Regulation (Permenkes) No. 32/ 2017 about environmental health quality standards and water health requirements for sanitary hygiene purposes, swimming pools, solis per aqua, and public baths.

"While for indoor and outdoor water fountains in Gelora Bung Karno have fulfilled drinking water requirements based on Permenkes No. 492/2010 about drinking water quality requirements," she stated.

She gives sample of indoor water fountain taken from softball sport location. There is water fountain in 2nd floor of Gelora Bung Karno, Jalan Asia Afrika, Central Jakarta that has PH levels of 7.48, turbidity of 0.4, remaining chlorine 0.0, total Coli 0, total E-Coli 0.

"It means it has fulfilled PH level standard according to Permenkes 492/2010 which has standard of PH levels of 6.5-8.5," she conveyed.
