DPRD Encourages City to Build Boarding School Vertically

Jakarta Council (DPRD) encourages Education Dept. (Disdik) to build boarding school with vertical building concept in five Jakarta regions soon.

We all have agreed that boarding school needs to be built vertically around three or four floors

In order to build boarding school, it needs around five hectares land. Vertical building concept is considered a good option due to limited available land in Jakarta.

City Encouraged to Build Boarding School in BUMD Lands

"For the sake of education, we all have agreed that boarding school needs to be built vertically around three or four floors," mentioned Triwisaksana, Jakarta Council Vice Chairman," Wednesday (9/12).

Jakarta Acting Education Dept. (Disdik) Head (Plt), Bowo Irianto stated, currently his side has two boarding schools in Tidung Island, Seribu Island and Ciganjur, South Jakarta.

"Those are SMKN 61 Pulau Tidung and SMKN 63 Ciganjur. Now, we are in the process of designing vertical boarding school," he conveyed.
