Cawang Urban Village Head Wants Parking Ban Sign to Be Installed on Jalan Soetoyo

Cawang Urban Village Head, Haerudin requests East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) to install parking ban sign in front of UKI University, Jalan Soetoyo in order to prevent road users from parking in that area.

"We will also coordinate it with East Jakarta Sudinhub to install parking ban sign. Thus road users who violate this rule will be controlled and sanctioned," he stated, Tuesday (9/18).

Parking Ban Socialized on Jl Kayu Mas Raya

According to him, his side has arranged the location before. His side has controlled illegal parking and street vendors (PKL) on the area.

"But now we start to arrange it with local residents. So we socialize them for not using sidewalk again and it is also monitored by local residents," he stated.

After arrangement, PKLs can only sell in the area above 8 PM. His side will also remind road users for not occupying sidewalk and roadside continuously.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept.'s Traffic Section Head, Andreas Eman said, his side will respond urban village's request as soon as possible. But his side will survey that location first.

"We will install traffic sign as residents or urba n village's request. But first, we need to check condition on the field," he conveyed.
