Poncol BPP Reservoir is dredged to avoid inundation in the area
South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. starts to dredge Poncol Agricultural Extension Agency (BPP) Reservoir, Jl. Poncol, Ragunan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Wednesday (9/19).
South Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. Head, Holi Susanto said Poncol Reservoir that has 6,860 square meters will be dredged within three months. His side deploys three amphibious excavators, one long arm excavator, and 17 trucks to transport mud.

He explained, reservoir will be dredged for two-three meters depth and its mud will be discarded to Srengseng Sawah dumping site. This reservoir has two water gates that control water in and out. Outflow water will lead to Musyawarah Connecting Channel.
"Local residents from RW 04 and RW 05 of Ragunan Urban Village should really take care their environment well," he mentioned.
