"We ensure to stop construction of these 13 unfinished reclaimed islands," he affirmed while having press conference at City Hall, Wednesday (9/26).

He explained, those 13 unfinished reclaimed islands are A, B, and E Islands (PT Kapuk Naga Indah); I, J, and K Islands (PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol); M Island (PT Manggala Krida Yudha); O and F Islands (PT Jakarta Propertindo); P and Q Islands (KEK Marunda Jakarta); H Island (PT Taman Harapan Indah); and I Island (PT Jaladri Kartika Pakci).

In order to discontinue its construction, his side will send revocation letter towards principle approval and cooperation agreement cancellation letter to the developer. Next, economic value calculation from obligations will be carried out, including additional contributions, and contributions made by partners through independent appraisal services.

"For developer who has given additional contributions such as building flat, inspection road, and other infrastructures and facilities will be compensated in the form of conversion with Land Use Permit Appointment (SIPPT) for business activities carried out in another location," he explained.

Especially for three islands that have been built, C and D Islands (PT. Kapuk Naga Indah) and G Island (PT Muara Wisesa Samudra), he continued, its spatial planning and management will be managed thus it can be used for public's benefit.

"We have evaluated its required permits. Jakarta Governor has decided to revoke all permits that have been given to developer," he said.

According to him, Jakarta Government will also accommodate necessities from residents who live near the reclaimed islands by building public facilities and infrastructures or open green spaces in the part of reclaimed islands or Jakarta northern coast area.

"Later on, those unused reclamation lands will be utilized to maintain environmental sustainability. Currently Jakarta Government is still preparing plans to restore Jakarta northern coastal area," he stated.
