18 DKI Athletes will Compete in Asian Para Games III

18 athletes from Jakarta will participate in Asian Para Games III on October 06-13, 2018.

Hopefully Indonesian athletes could achieve the best in Asian para Games

Jakarta Youth and Sport Dept. (Dispora) Head, Ratiyono explained, 18 athletes from Jakarta are Sella Dwi Radayana (table tennis singles and women's team), Dian David Jacobs, Komet Akbar, Abdul Malik Abdullah, Kunanto, Jason Georly, and Leo Aritonang (table tennis singles and men's team).

Then Ranto Sambou (judo), Edy Johan, Donald Santoso (basketball), Maria Gorety, Sumini (athletics), Yulia Herawaty (lawn balls), Jeni Susilo, Aris Haryadi, Dwi Retno (shooting), Tetuko Seto and Audrey Azwand (bowling).

"We hope our athletes could reach high achievements and get gold medals," he conveyed, Tuesday (10/2).

Ahead of Asian Para Games, he explained, DKI athletes with disability has been conducted special training and joined various competitions to sharpen their mental in game.

"Jakarta Government will give bonus to Asian Para Games athletes who won medals with the same amount as Asian Games athletes who won medals," he added.

He conveys his gratitude since Asian Para Games III Torch Relay in Jakarta can run successfully.

He also wants residents to support athletes optimally during the matches.

"As a host, we want to hold this event successfully and get achievements. Hopefully Indonesian athletes could achieve the best in Asian para Games," he expressed.

For information, Asian Para Games III will be participated by 43 countries. This year, Asian Para Games will hold competitions in 18 sports and participated by 2,831 athletes.
