The 2018 Asian Para Games Torch Relay held in RW 02, Tomang, West Jakarta was lively welcomed by hundreds of residents and students.

The Kampung RW 02 Romang itself is one of the places visited by the torch relay runner after winning the best champion of the branding village for West Jakarta.

Various art performances were held at the welcoming ceremony for the arrival of the Asian Para Games torch flame. Among them were marching bands, marawis, dance arts and palang pintu (doorstop barrier).

In that occasion, the Asian Para Games torch flame was officially received by West Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi along with Inapgoc Deputy Chairperson, Silviana Murni.

West Jakarta Mayor, Rustam Effendi expressed gratitude and appreciation to Inapgoc who took the torch policy for a short stop to West Jakarta.

"Thank God thanks to the hard work with the residents of RW 02 Tomang won the village branding champion. So the torch is stopped in West Jakarta," he expressed, Tuesday (10/2).

Without the support of residents and all elements, RW 02 Tomang could not have won the village branding champion. "Hopefully this good cooperation will be improved in the future," he expressed.

He hoped that the Asian Para Games could run in line with expectations.

"I invite West Jakarta residents, let's welcome the Asian Para Games as well as possible," he stated.

Inapgoc I Deputy Chairperson, Silviana Murni expressed her gratitude for the assistance of the five mayors and Seribu Islands regent, sub-district heads, urban village heads up to RTs and RWs who have issued all the potential to succeed the event.

"We also invite residents to show the world that Jakarta is a disability-friendly city through the holding of the 2018 Asian Para Games," he uttered.
