One-way Trial at Jalan Wahid Hasyim Runs Smoothly

Jakarta Transportation Dept. is conducting the first trial of one-way system at Jalan Wahi d Hasyim, Menteng, Central Jakarta that has been started since at 9 AM.

"This is just trial. We'll evaluate it every day. But, on the first day, the traffic has run well," expressed Agung Trianto H, Section Head of Traffic Engineering and Road Equipment, Monday (10/8).

According to him, trial socialization at the location was previously massive enough. Provenly the traffic runs smoothly on the first time without anyone doing contra flow.

"At Jalan Srikaya and Jalan Cemara towards Jalan Wahid Hasyim, similar system will also be applied after this trial," he told.

Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Head, Harlem Simanjuntak added that two personnel have also been alerted in the field to share socialization pamphlet.

"Our personnel are spread at Jalan Jaksa, Jalan Agus Salim and intersection of Jalan Sabang, as well as intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih," he said.
