Today, One-Way Trial on Jalan Melawai Applied

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. has applied one-way system trial along Jalan Melawai, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Tuesday (10/24). 

One-way trial in Melawai will be done in a week, precisely on October 24-31, 2017

According to Christianto, Head of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., it is applied from Ayodya Park until Monalias traffic light. Before it is done, his sub-dept. has conducted socialization to the people, car, motorcycle and public transport.

Afterwards, there are still found people and motorists who do not know about the trial. However, he persuasively diverts them to an alternative road.

One-way System will Be Trialled on Jalan Melawai Raya

"One-way trial in Melawai will be done in a week, precisely on October 24-31, 2017. As a matter of fact, it has been applied since November 1, 2017," he expressed, Tuesday (10/24).

There is also traffic engineering in Melawai area related to one-way system trial, among others, Jalan Melawai is applied one-way.

Hence, vehicles coming to Gandaria or vehicle from Jalan Iskandarsyah Raya will be rerouted to Jalan Wijaya-Jalan Wijaya 13-Jalan Barito II or Jalan Trunojoyo-Kiai Maja-Barito I.

As for the one-way system at Jalan Iskandarsyah Raya, Wijaya, Barito I, Barito II, Panglima Polim Raya is still applied. Especially for Metromini bus S-69, S-70, S-71, S-74, S-611 and Kopaja S-608, S-609, S-613 that passes on Jalan Melawai will be directed to use Jalan Trunojoyo-Kiai Maja.

Then for Metromini S-72 and S-610 heading to Jalan Melawai, will be directed to pass on Sultan Hasanudin-Panglima Polim Raya.

"In overall, trial runs smoothly so far," he stated.
