City Continues to Do River Maintenance

Jakarta Provincial Government continues to do maintenance on several rivers and channels to anticipate flood by repairing its infrastructures and facilities and also dredging mud and trash.

There are total 192 heavy equipment and we operate all of them

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan stated, all heavy equipment used for river dredging to be mobilized. It is done to prevent siltation and increase water capacity in rivers and channels.

"There are total 192 heavy equipment and we operate all of them.Trash on river flow will be also cleaned routinely," he mentioned, Tuesday (10/9).

Approaching Rainy Season, Waterways in C. Jakarta will Be Checked

In order to anticipate flooding, SDA Dept. continues to do various precautions ahead of rainy season which is estimated will be happened on November.

"Some lands are still in progress of land acquisition. It is our priority that must be resolved immediately," he affirmed.
