Collected Donations via Disaster Relief Post in City Hall Shipped to C. Sulawesi

Donations collected through disaster relief post in City Hall are shipped to Palu, Central Sulawesi to be distributed for earthquake and tsunami victims.

They donate instant noodle, drinking water, milk, blanket, towel, and other basic needs

Those donations are transported using nine big trucks from City Hall on Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta to Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta. Then, it continues to be transported using ship from PT. Pelni.

Jakarta Logistic Volunteer Team for Palu, Muhammad Chozin Amirullah said, donations transported from City Hall from Tuesday (10/9) at 10 PM.

176 Donors Distribute Aid Through Relief Post at City Hall

"It involves 20 volunteers and help from 100 Satpol PP and Pamdal personnel. Load process of those 2,200 donation cartons is done until three o'clock at dawn," he informed, (10/10).

He added, donations will be arrived around three to four days using sea transportation.

"After arrived in Palu, logistic distribution will get assistance from humanitarian agencies which cooperate with Jakarta Provincial Government such as Komunitas Turun Tangan, Youth Power Indonesia, Rumah Zakat, Dompet Dhuafa, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT), and Indonesian Red Cross (PMI)," he explained.

Besides Jakarta Government SKPDs and UKPDs, those donations are also collected from residents and private sides.

"They donate instant noodle, drinking water, milk, blanket, towel, and other basic needs. We plan to send another donations on October 15," he mentioned.

For information, formerly Jakarta Government has dispatched 83 Jakarta Response Team personnel and logistic aid to help earthquake and tsunami victims in Central Sulawesi.
