250 Joint Personnel Conduct Grebek Sampah in Ciliwung River

250 joint personnel conducted Gerebek Sampah in Ciliwung River, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday (10/11). It was done to anticipate inundation ahead of rainy season.

Hundreds joint personnel consist of PPSU, Water Agency UPK, and East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. directly cleaned Ciliwung River after conducted morning assembly on Jalan Inspeksi Ciliwung. They cleaned up river's retaining wall and Jalan Inspeksi.

Jatinegara Sub-district Head, Nasrudin Abu Bakar mentioned, it was also done to socialize and educate people who live near Ciliwung River to maintain river cleanliness by not throwing trash into the river.

"Gerebek Sampah is done to anticipate inundation ahead of rainy season. Besides, it is also done to make our city beautiful and comfort," he conveyed while leading this Gerebek Sampah activity.

According to him, this activity will be done until tomorrow (Friday). His side focuses to clean around 1.9 kilometers route, from bridge on Jalan KH Abdullah Syafii to Tong Tek bridge, Bukit Duri borderline.
