City Holds Soft Launching Regarding Traders Placement and JPM Utilization

Jakarta Government holds soft launching on Jalan Jatibaru Raya, Tanah Abang, regarding independent small traders (PKM) placement and Tanah Abang Multipurpose Crossing Bridge (JPM) utilization, Monday (10/15).

In this chance, Central Jakarta Government together with Jakarta Small Micro Medium Enterprises Cooperative and Trade (KUKMP) Dept., PD. Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, and PD. Pasar Jaya gives socialization about stalls and placement of the first 100 traders from total 46 traders that will be placed in JPM stalls.

Tanah Abang Skybridge Construction to Reach 70 Percent

"Thanks to God, we have completed 100 stalls. Gradually, we will place the remaining stalls up to 446 stalls," said Central Jakarta Mayor, Bayu Meghantara on the location, Monday (10/15). 

Previously, Central Jakarta Government and KUKMP Dept. holds a draw for Jatibaru traders placement in three days or on October 11-13, 2018. Total 650 traders consist of 372 traders who trade in tents on Jl. Jatibaru Raya, 165 traders who trade on sidewalk of Jl. Jatibaru Raya, and 113 traders who trade on Jl. Jatibaru Bengkel (sidewalk in front of Tanah Abang Station's new exit gate).

"We will pick 446 traders from total 650 traders through a draw to be placed in JPM. The other 204 traders will be placed in Tanah Abang Market Block F," he conveyed.

Jakarta Transportation Dept. will also conduct existing route assessment to ensure integration on transportation modes. Jl. Jatibaru Raya will be opened again after area under JPM has been cleaned from building material and it is considered safe for vehicles to pass.

Besides connecting Tanah Abang Station and Block G, Tanah Abang JPM also becomes intermodal bridge that integrates directly with Tanah Abang Station. Later on , ramp will be also installed near Tanah Abang Station exit gate which is located under Jatibaru Flyover that facilitates pedestrian while crossing this connecting bridge.

Tanah Abang JPM is built with length 386.4 meters and width 12.6 meters. It is located above Jl. Jatibaru Raya, from station exit gate until Tanah Abang Market Blok F that passes through Block G.
