Commission E Approves Proposal of PPAPP Dept.

The nominal proposed is Rp 100,000 multiplied by 12 months and multiplied by the number of PKK members who take care of Dasawisma

City DPRD's Commission E, approve the proposal of Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Dept. (DPPAPP) related with family welfare development programs run by City PKK TP through Dasawisma activities.

City PPAPP Dept. Head, Tuty Kusunawati disclosed, in Dasawisma program, every PKK cadre would record and update the welfare and health conditions of 10 to 20 household heads in their neighborhood. Currently there were around 53,989 PKK cadres who took care of Dasawisma.

Her dept. proposed operational budget by Rp 64 billion per year for the Dasawisma program, with details, every PKK cadre is Rp 100,000 per month.

"The nominal proposed is Rp 100,000 multiplied by 12 months and multiplied by the number of PKK members who take care of Dasawisma. The total annual is approximately Rp 64 billion," she expressed, after discussion of KUA-PPAS with Commission E, Monday (10/15).

Commission E Secretary, Veri Yonnevil explained that his party approved the proposal, as they were the spearhead of family welfare development.

"PKK cadre who are collecting data from house to house are the spearheads at the RW level," he asserted.

He promised to fight for the proposal from the PPAPP Dept. in the upcoming Banggar meeting.

"I am sure friends in Banggar can accept this, as their needs are directly to our society," he said.
