Traffic Engineering Conducted on Newly Opened Jalan Jatibaru Raya

Jakarta Provincial Government conducts traffic engineering on the newly opened lanes on Jalan Jatibaru Raya, Tanah Abang on Monday (10/15).

This road is opened in two directions

These lanes are opened to follow up Indonesian Ombudsman's recommendation.

"This road is opened in two directions," said Irwandi, Central Jakarta Vice Mayor while opening this road around 5 PM.

Not all public transportation are allowed to go through this road. But temporarily, motorcycles are also allowed to pass this road during trial period.

"We will limit its trial hour thus we can finish Skybridge faster," he added.

On the first day of road opening on Monday, trial was conducted from 5 PM- 7 PM. Starting today until October 30, trial will be conducted from 4 AM-7 PM. 

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) Head, Harlem Simanjuntak mentioned, 50 personnel are deployed to standby in each road points to sterilize the road lanes with assistance from Satpol PP to anticipate street vendors (PKL)s on the location.

"We will standby and evaluate what kind of traffic signs needed along these lanes before we propose it to department," he stated.
