Citizens Request Road Access Near Skybridge

Merchants and local residents who live near Jalan Jatibaru Raya, Kampung Bali, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta request road access in every alley corners which are blocked by Skybridge guard rail.

"We request road access in every alley corners to facilitate residents who want to enter or exit urban village and anyone who want to transporting goods," said Ika, one of Jalan Jatibaru Raya residents who owns stall no. E097 at Tanah Abang Skybridge, Wednesday (10/17).

Responding to the request, Central Jakarta Mayor, Bayu Meghantara admitted, road access in each neighborhood alleys should be made. At least there are six to seven alleys that need entrance gates.

"It needs access to facilitate residents who want to enter or exit the alleys. We have seen it and we will inform PD. Sarana Jaya to follow up this report," he stated.

According to him, at first guard rails along Jalan Jatibaru Raya, which is under Skybridge is installed to prevent street vendors (PKL)s from trading on the road.

"But it also needs road access for residents," he mentioned.
