Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan attends at The 5th Asian Mediation Association Conference which is held in a hotel in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
We realize the importance of mediation in a society, especially in Jakarta
This conference is held on October 24-25, 2018 and attended by society experts from various countries.
Anies said, mediation is very important to overcome the problems. Government should be able to be a mediator for various problems regarding lands, houses, and roads.

Hopefully, all experts who are gathered in here today can have a concept or a device that can be used as reference for our apparatuses in leading and managing the area," he conveyed, Wednesday (10/24).
He explained, the important thing from mediator is to be in a neutral position, thus mediator should be free from various interests and able to solve problems properly.
"Urban village heads, sub-district heads, and mayors who can act as moderators are required to be able to find a solution together," he mentioned.
He hopes, SKPDs and UKPDs in Jakarta can improve their skill as mediator thus they can overcome any problem that can cause friction.
"We want our apparatuses to have skill for mediation," he expressed.
