City DPRD is encouraging the Water Resources Dept. to propose normalization the Cipinang River in the 2019 KUA-PPAS.

City DPRD's Commission D Member, Manura Siahaan stated that the river must be included in the normalization program in a bid to prevent inundation and flooding in the rainy season.

Responding on this matter, Jakarta Water Resources Dept. Head, Teguh Hendrawan expressed that his side is currently focusing on the normalization in three major rivers in the capital. These rivers are Ciliwung, Pesanggrahan and Sunter.
"That means that it does not mean that the Cipinang river does not get priority. We focus on three rivers first. In addition, the process of land acquisition needs time," he uttered.

he Water Resources Dept. proposed a budget of Rp 3.7 trillion.
