To prevent the newcomers from flocking to the city to try their luck, Jakarta Provincial Government encourages central government to step in by empowering the economics, adding money circulation, and increasing investments in the regions.

Based on Jakarta Population and Civil Registry Department data, this year as many as 68,500 newcomers enter the city coincided with homecoming returning flow. This amount increases for about 30 percent compared to last year where there were 51,500 newcomers.
