Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan is attending the seventh Ciliwung Day in Kebon Salak Condet area, RW 04, Balekambang Urban Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Sunday (11/11).

It is held to remind local citizens to maintain the surrounding environment, especially Ciliwung River area.

"Don't make this river a landfill. But make this river as a natural ecosystem," he expressed.

To maintain the environmental sustainability, cooperation between the government and the community is needed. There needs to be a joint commitment thus garbage does not fill the river.

"We also need to maintain the river as source of life for humans and their entire ecosystem. Therefore the program that we encourage is to make the river natural for its ecosystem," he uttered.

He also cut a tumpeng (rice-cone) and plants salak tree type Condet. He also takes his time to review the condition of the river.
