Anticipating Floods, 1,300 Officers Alerted in Tanjung Priok

1,300 joint personnel of Social Sub-dept., Water Resources Sub-dept., Fire and Rescue Sub-dept., Environment Sub-dept., Satpol PP, police, army, and PPSU are alerted in Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta, in order to anticipate flood in the rainy season. 

The officers present at this ceremony have responsibilities in accordance with their respective duties and functions

North Jakarta Mayor, Syamsudin Lologau, directly checked the readiness of this joint officer at the ceremony in the Sunter Lake area, Sunter Agung Sub-District, Tuesday (13/11).

30 Inundation-Prone Areas in Jakarta Mapped

"The officers present at this ceremony have responsibilities in accordance with their respective duties and functions. We have also prepared the equipment," he expressed.

He also invited all elements of the people to take part in anticipating the flood by cleaning the waterways in their respective neighborhoods.

"If all the preparations have been run properly and the people's role is high, I am sure that floods in the Tanjung Priok area can be overcome. If the inundation is detected, it will recede quickly," he said.
