S. Jakarta, Seven Trees on Five Roads Pruned

South Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. pruned seven trees on five roads this Tuesday (11/20). South Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. Head, Bambang Muhirdan said, pruning was done to anticipate trees from falling when there is strong wind or heavy rain.

Pruning is done to reduce tree's burden thus it will not fall easily

"Pruning is done to reduce tree's burden thus it will not fall easily when heavy rain falls or strong wind occurs," he stated. 

57 Trees in 10 Sub-districts, South Jakarta Pruned

He explained, pruning is done to one tree each on Jl. Supeno Kebayoran Lama, Jl. Wijaya 1, Jl. Petogogan and Jl. Birah, then three trees on Jl. Mampang Prapatan.

"We deploy one team contains of nine personnel to pru ne one tree," he informed.
