Vehicle Tax Revenue in N. Jakarta to Reach Rp 2.09 Trillion

Realization of Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Vehicle-Ownership Transfer Fee revenue until the end of November in North Jakarta is Rp 2.09 trillion or 91 percent from this year's target around Rp 2.3 trillion.

North Jakarta UP PKB and BBNKB Head, Robert Lumbuan Tobing mentioned, Rp 2.3 trillion of this year's target consists of Rp 1.4 trillion from PKB and Rp 926 billion from BBNKB.

Vehicle Tax Raids Keep Being Intensified in E. Jakarta

"By the end of November, we have realized around 91 percent of target. We are still trying to reach our remaining target," he said, Monday (12/3).

In order to reach vehicle tax target, he explained, his side intensifies vehicle tax raid and door-to-door operation to net vehicle owners who haven't paid or re-registered (BDU) their vehicle tax. His side also cooperates with leasing companies to collect data of vehicle owners who haven't paid their vehicle tax.

According to him, North Jakartans have 1.4 million vehicle units in total. Around 86 percent of it is two-wheeled vehicles.

"In this early year, there are more than 700 thousand vehicles included as BDU vehicles. But this number continues to decline and we will continue to catch our target," he stated.
