Love Bridge Construction on Untung Jawa Island Has Reached 90 Percent

The Love Bridge construction that is located on Untung Jawa Island, South Seribu Islands, Seribu Islands District has touched 90 percent.

Thus far the bridge construction has touched 90 percent

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Ade Slamet expressed that the bridge was named as Love Bridge, as its shape resembles a heart or love.

The construction itself has been ongoing since early 2018 through Public Works and Public Housing Ministry. "Thus far the bridge construction has touched 90 percent," he expressed, Tuesday (12/4).

Access Road Towards Love Bridge Repaired

It is built as the Arsa Park tourism development package, on south side of Untung Jawa Island. The bridge was built with concrete and PVC plastic to make it strong and resistant to waves.

In addition, a fence will be built on the lip of the bridge for the sake of visitor safety. "It is targeted to be complete by the end of this year and can be a new spot for taking a selfie," he explained.

It also has a Bride Tree between the heart-shaped bridges.

"It is called Bride Tree, as the area has two trees that have been decades in the middle of the ocean, among coral and mangrove trees," he stated.
