Landslide Handling in Kalisari Reaches 60 Percent

Repair conducted on Jalan Pesona IX, RT 007/05, Kalisari, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta due to landslide has reached 60 percent. Joint personnel installs cerucuk and bronjong (gabion wall) on the location to stable the land condition and prevent another landslide to occur.

Based on monitoring on the field, around 20 joint personnel from Bina Marga and Pasar Rebo SDA Sub-dept. Unit repairs the road that have been covered by debris and soil due to landslide on Thursday (12/6). Some of them also repair damaged Suwuk PHB channel's retaining wall and install cerucuk and bronjong using river stones to repair four-meter cliff.

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. Head, Juaini Yusuf mentioned, his side has finished cleaning the area from debris and soil. Now his team is focused to repair the cliff by installing cerucuk and bronjong using river stones.

Landslide Repair in Pademangan Accelerated

"Its repair now reaches around 60 percent. Currently we are repairing its construction thus water will not flow to water channel that doesn't have outlets," he explained.

According to him, two layers of bronjong are installed to prevent four-meter cliff from collapsing again. This installation is done for 24 hours alternately. Sub-district Unit installs it from morning to afternoon and Sub-dept. Unit from afternoon to morning.
