Rainy Season, 12,032 Trees in East Jakarta Pruned

Thorough January-early December,  it is noted that around 12,032 trees have been pruned in East Jakarta. Entering rainy season, tree pruning keeps being intensified.

It is carried out to prevent fallen tree during rainy season accompanied by strong winds

Herbert Nainggolan, Section Head of East Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. stated that the main target of his sub-dept. is tree alongside neighborhood road, connecting road, and protocol road.

"It is carried out to prevent fallen tree during rainy season accompanied by strong winds," he stated, Tuesday (12/11).

Park Monitoring During Rainy Season must More Be Intensified

Aside that he also handled 196 trees that fell in the same period. Tree pruning is mostly done in Pulogadung, Duren Sawit, Cakung and Cipayung sub-districts.

"We warn locals to remain vigilant. So find a safe place and do not take shelter under trees during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds," he stated.
