The PT Mass Rapid Transit is about to impose the Traffic Engineering Management (MRLL) in Istora Sports Hall and Karet areas. It aims to smoothen the construction of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)'s underground station at Istora Sports Hall and Bendungan Hilir that has been ongoing since Tuesday (8/12) night.

Director of PT MRT Jakarta, M Nasyir stated to optimize the construction, his party will demolish the Karet's pedestrian bridge on August 15 and is targeted to be done on August 20.

Another one-way traffic system would also be imposed on the east of road during the bridge's girder demolishment on the west side . It is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday (8/19) night at 11 PM-4 AM.
"While for traffic diversion, we cooperate with Jakarta Transportation Department and City Police Traffic Unit. We also installed several traffic lights and banners to facilitate road users," he uttered.
Nasyir disclosed project in Bendungan Hilir will be initiated with work area preparatory consists of median stripping, road markings repainting, temporary roads imposition on the side of the sidewalk and fence installation on median road. It has been carried out since August 12 and is planned to be done on August 20.
"We also do similar project in Senayan and Setiabudi areas as work area preparatory as wide as 30 meters on median road," he told.
He continued, the same with large-scale construction of the MRT's underground station at Istora Sport Hall, also initiated with work area preparatory in the media center that began on Tuesday (8/12) until (8/25) night. As for the work area required at Istora is 28 meters wide, thus traffic engineering needed.
