It has been noted that as many as 220 traffic convex mirrors have been installed in 2018. Besides on protocol and connecting roads, it is also installed on neighborhood road.

"Its installation is done to minimize traffic accidents

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept.'s Traffic Section Head, Andreas Eman stated that installation point is the proposal of local residents, either through Musrenbang or letter addressed to Transportation Sub-dept.

"Its installation is done to minimize traffic accidents. It is preferred at intersections, sharp turns, and other points prone to traffic accidents," he told, Wednesday (12/26).

He also plans to conduct similar action in 800 points in 2019. But sweeping will be done first at all points proposed by locals prior to installation.

"Of 800 points, only 600 out of them are predictably approved and the rest is rejected. This is because all points should be rechecked," he said.
