Kampung Warna Warni in Sunter Jaya Gets Appreciation by Anies

After checking Item River, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, immediately went to the kampung warna warni in RW 01, Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

His arrival was suddenly welcomed by local residents who want to shake hands and take selfies with him.

He appreciated the initiative of the citizens assisted by the local government and the Indonesian Institute of Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) to create a beautiful environment.

"I see a lot of creative ideas. This is what we want to do in many places in Jakarta," he expressed, Wednesday (1/2).

According to him, one of Jakarta Provincial Government's keys is by facilitating the people through participatory and collaborative patterns.

"This experience will be expanded. This is what we imagine as collaboration in building villages," he exclaimed.

Sukartono, Chairman of RW 01, Sunter Jaya Urban Village expressed that a five-house and one-house program has been released since 2011 in a bid to realize beautiful environment.

"We have got many awards, either it is at the provincial or national levels. Surely this makes us more excited," he stressed.
