If our program already active, it could suppress the high prices in some areas
The construction process will begin this year and be carried out by PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN). The dock itself is one of the marine toll infrastructure in Indonesia.
"The maritime development is very important, because this is in line with sea toll program," said Jakarta Governor, Jokowi after he did signing at City Hall, Thursday (8/14).

Previously its distribution was through Merak-Bakauheuni ports. To get to the location quickly, we will use the logistic dock by cutting distribution lanes from Medan-Marunda.
"If our program already active, it could suppress the high prices in some areas," he expressed
.He assessed that such dock construction in Marunda has been planned since last year and city administration plans to involve the KBN management as implementer. City Administration has own shares in KBN thus it could determine the direction of policy.
KBN Director, Sattar Taba explained the construction will begin this year with a design as deep as 9 meters with 1,400 meters length and has a payload capacity of 400 tons.
"We prepare Rp 1.1 trillion to build the dock and be built in a land as wide as 140,000 square meters," he explained.
He hoped in future, the dock would smoothen logistic distribution from and to Sumatera and eastern region in Indonesia. This is because Tanjung Priok Port condition is dense.
"Any activities in Tanjung Prio Dock is dense, thus it's prone to traffic congestion and caused less cost. Therefore we launched to build public dock and domestic ships, etc," he explained.
He added the project is targeted to be completed in mid-2015. "Afterwards, we will continue the next project in Banyuwangi while preparing small ships to continue distribution from the dock to other areas," he stated.
